Position Summary
The Family Medicine Physician will be a fully accredited medical professional authorized to practice in the State of Utah, with board certification in Family Medicine. This role involves delivering essential healthcare services within the framework of HealthWest, Incorporated. The physician collaborates closely with the Chief Medical Officer to monitor patient progress and implement necessary interventions. The position entails potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens through patient interactions, trauma cases, and laboratory procedures. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive medical care, including emergency interventions and minor surgical procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and care adjustments.
- Refer patients to suitable ancillary and support services as needed.
- Engage in after-hours on-call responsibilities for clinic coverage.
- Contribute as a member of the Quality Assurance committee when designated.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all information acquired during the performance of professional duties.
- Oversee, mentor, and evaluate mid-level healthcare providers.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as outlined in individual contracts.
- Completion of an accredited residency program and eligibility for board certification.
- Valid medical license issued by the Idaho State Board of Medicine for allopathic or osteopathic practice.
- Current DEA registration, Idaho State Board of Pharmacy license, and Basic Life Support certification.
- Experience in general practice, family medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics.
