Electrophysiology Specialist

Job Summary

As an Electrophysiology Specialist at Froedtert South, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, radiofrequency ablation, and other miscellaneous procedures. You will be responsible for operating the electrophysiology recorder, hemodynamic monitoring computer, and scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, and radiofrequency ablation
* Operate the electrophysiology recorder and hemodynamic monitoring computer
* Scrub for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures
* Possess in-depth understanding of cardiac electrophysiology and mechanisms of arrhythmia
* Radiologic Technology or graduate an accredited certification program in Radiologic Technology (Registered and Licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin)
* Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or IBHRE CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist) preferred

Requirements

* Ability to read, write, hear, speak, and comprehend the English language
* Demonstrates understanding of programmed electrical stimulation
* Identifies and explains atrial and ventricular study components, programmed electrical stimulation, sinus node recovery time, measurement of intervals, and catheter location
