Plastering Specialist

Job Summary:

Hod Carriers (Plaster Tenders) play a crucial role in the plastering process, assisting skilled craft persons in spreading plaster and fireproofing materials. This position involves handling materials upon arrival at the job site, making, mixing, and conveying materials, as well as building and handling scaffolding and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist plasterers in spreading plaster and fireproofing materials
• Handle materials upon arrival at the job site
• Make, mix, and convey materials
• Build and handle scaffolding and equipment
• Clean debris and equipment

Requirements:

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Physical stamina to handle heavy materials and equipment
• Basic knowledge of construction and plastering processes

Working Conditions:

Hod Carriers work in a fast-paced construction environment, often at heights and in confined spaces. They must be able to lift and move heavy materials and equipment, and work in a team environment to meet project deadlines.

Compensation:

Wages for Hod Carriers range from $26.41 per hour for entry-level apprentices to $40.48 per hour for Journeyman, as determined by union scale and the current collective bargaining agreement.
