You will engage with various departments and stakeholders to align with business objectives while overseeing the team responsible for managing all client tax filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and authorize tax returns and projections for corporations, partnerships, individuals, and trusts, including a variety of multi-state filings.
  • Communicate with federal and state agencies regarding client tax notifications.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to tax staff and team members on relevant tax matters and software applications.
  • Assist in the preparation of documents for state and federal audits.
  • Ensure timely completion and submission of all tax returns, extensions, and pertinent filings.
  • Guarantee that all tax-related payments are processed punctually.
  • Identify and investigate tax issues relevant to client transactions.
  • Mentor team members to help them achieve both internal and personal objectives.
  • Participate in client meetings alongside Partners to foster and maintain client relationships.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and concepts applicable to individuals, C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts.
  • Proficient in CCH Axcess/ProSystem software.
  • Solid grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (minimum GPA of 3.0).
  • Certified Public Accountant designation is preferred.
  • Over 5 years of experience in leading a team of tax professionals.
  • At least 7 years of relevant tax experience in a public accounting environment or family office.
  • Extensive background in real estate and partnership tax compliance and consulting is preferred.
