Kia Retailers are offering skilled and experienced military Veterans the opportunity to begin an inspiring career as a Kia Certified Service Technician through the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).

Job Summary

As a Kia Certified Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Kia vehicles, including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components. You will also complete repair orders and warranty request orders in accordance with established Kia and Retailer policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, and electrical components
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Test drive vehicles to identify and diagnose issues
  • Communicate with shop foremen and service advisors to ensure optimal customer experience
Requirements
  • Honorable Discharge from the military
  • Valid driver's license from any state with a clean driving record
  • Experience in a technical or mechanical field
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background checks
