Culinary Specialist

The Good Samaritan Society is a not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors with a commitment to quality care and service in a Christian environment.

As a Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing, assembling, and serving food to patients, residents, staff, and visitors of the designated facility. You will adhere to food quality standards, perform washing and cleaning duties, and maintain labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery.

• Prepare and serve food within guidelines of menu and dietary requirements
• Adhere to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation
• Perform washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas
• Maintain labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
• Prepare and provide the highest quality and safest food possible to patients, residents, staff, and visitors

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions
• Ability to perform basic math
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred
