MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurse

The MedSurg/Telemetry Registered Nurse functions independently while possessing a thorough understanding of patient care dynamics. This role involves delivering both routine and complex medical care, demonstrating expertise in long-term patient care objectives and strategies. Compensation: $27-$43 per hour

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the relevant nursing specialty
- BLS Certification
- Active RN License in the state of employment or compact state
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Meet leadership expectations within the unit.
- Patient Care: Deliver nursing care in accordance with ANA standards.
- Assessment: Evaluate and address complex patient requirements.
- Medication Administration: Administer treatments following established protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient history and care.
- Education: Assess and instruct patients and their caregivers.
- Critical Thinking: Analyze and communicate patient needs effectively.
- Care Planning: Develop evidence-based care strategies.
- Implementation/Evaluation: Execute and assess patient care plans.
- Competency: Engage in unit-specific competency assessments.
- Patient Flow: Oversee patient throughput and discharge processes.
- Order Accuracy: Provide guidance on order validation.
- Unit Management: Plan, direct, and evaluate nursing care delivery.
- Resource Stewardship: Manage medical equipment and supplies effectively.
- Staffing: Assess staffing requirements and contribute to resource allocation.
- Education on Operations: Provide insights on industry operations.
- Safety Practices: Integrate patient safety protocols into care.
- Accountability: Show accountability for quality improvement initiatives.
- Communication: Effectively relay patient information.
- Legal Compliance: Adhere to healthcare regulations.
