Field Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Field Operations Specialist to join our team at Kiewit Corporation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear facility engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support in all phases of estimating, construction formation, project execution, testing/inspection, and project closeout.
- Maintain records of installed quantities and completed construction work.
- Participate in obtaining any required permits/clearances, lockouts, Escort Agreements, and work authorizations prior to commencing work on site.
- Perform verification of work in progress to ensure requirements of safety, security, quality (technical drawings and specifications), environmental control, workmanship, and schedule are met.
- Assist in the preparation of procedures, administrative and technical documents.
Requirements:
- Aptitude in reading and understanding engineering design documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure their completeness and constructability.
- Ability to effectively communicate engineering solutions both verbally and in writing for management, customers, peers, and craft personnel.
- Aptitude for conducting field verifications of construction work to oversee, facilitate, and enforce compliance with drawings, specifications, national codes and standards.
- Aptitude in collaborative problem solving to resolve nuclear facility and infrastructure engineering issues in the field as the liaison between design engineers and the constructor.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic construction engineering principles.
- Knowledge of construction safety
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
- Strong work ethic – highly motivated and willing to do what it takes to get the job done right
