Key ResponsibilitiesThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all operational functions within the unit during their assigned shift. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC directs, assesses, and evaluates nursing practices in line with established protocols, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies the organization's core values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Core Duties Include:
- Facilitating patient admissions and discharges to optimize care delivery.
- Engaging in continuous evaluation of patient care quality in partnership with management.
- Fostering a collaborative environment among staff to enhance service and outcomes.
- Promoting a patient-centered approach and addressing service recovery as needed.
- Implementing nursing strategies to boost staff engagement and operational efficiency.
- Contributing to the recruitment, training, and development of new nursing staff.
- Managing staff schedules and labor resources in alignment with patient care demands.
- Overseeing inventory management and supply procurement.
- Registered Nurse License from the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia, or a multi-state privilege under the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in a BSN program required within two years of hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- A minimum of two years of nursing experience is required.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills within the specialty area are essential.
- Preferred: Two years of experience as a Charge Nurse in the relevant specialty.
Work Schedule:
- Day Shift (12-hour shifts)
