Job Overview

The Sanitation Specialist, under guidance, will deliver exceptional cleaning services to maintain a pristine environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, including sweeping and mopping all tiled surfaces.
  2. Ensure entrance and building windows are spotless, both inside and out, and clean office glass as required.
  3. Regularly empty waste bins and replace liners in all receptacles.
  4. Conduct monthly high dusting, including window blinds, and dust all areas as necessary.
  5. Restock paper and soap supplies in restrooms, and replace deodorizers and batteries as needed.
  6. Vacuum all carpeted areas thoroughly.
  7. Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned.
  8. Accept and execute special projects as directed by the supervisor.

Additional Responsibilities: Other job-related tasks may be assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  2. Must comply with Ability One requirements.
  3. A willingness to learn and effectively carry out tasks related to custodial roles is essential.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license is required.

Other Requirements: All employees must undergo a driver's license record check; classified employees must pass a background investigation.

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
  2. Bilingual skills are advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation: $15.50 per hour.

Work Schedule: 18 hours per week, from 5 PM to 7 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pay Grade: OP1.
