At Adams Transit Inc, our Automotive Repair Technicians are dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our internal clients by maintaining and repairing company vehicles in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.


Key Responsibilities:
- Construct, refurbish, and fix all components of automotive machinery as required.
- Identify any mechanical, electrical, or other malfunctions of a vehicle, truck, or associated equipment.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, voltmeters, digital multi-meters, calibrators, and other electronic diagnostic instruments.
- Analyze and troubleshoot failures in the component parts and systems of trucks or trailers.
- When necessary, apply welding techniques and knowledge of materials to carry out repairs.
- Safely manage hazardous substances.
- Ensure all documentation and records are completed accurately and promptly.

Collaborate effectively with Dispatch and office personnel to contribute to the overall success of our drivers and the organization.

Typically, this position operates on a first shift, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility for weekend work as required.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience in truck, body, and frame repair (education may account for part of this experience).
- Proficient understanding of most systems in trucks and trailers.
- Familiarity with DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA regulations and standards.
- Ability to perform repairs that involve bending, twisting, climbing, squatting, balancing, etc.
- Capability to move, lift, operate, and store specialized tools and equipment such as welding apparatus, hand tools, and shop machinery.
