The Department of Philosophy at Oakland University is seeking applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level.
Specialization Area:
Social, Political, and Legal Philosophy
Competency Areas:
Open to various fields.
We are particularly interested in candidates who can teach courses such as "Political Philosophy", "Global Justice", "Philosophy of International Relations: Law, War, and Peace", and "Philosophy of Law", along with introductory classes.
We welcome candidates with an interest in supporting the Oakland University Ethics Bowl Team as part of their teaching responsibilities, as well as those with a focus on the history of philosophy.
Applicants must show a commitment to diversity and inclusion in their teaching and professional activities.Minimum Qualifications
A PhD in Philosophy is required by the time of appointment for the rank of Assistant Professor.
