Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Housing Stabilization & Homeless Outreach Manager and Operations Specialist to develop and implement housing stability plans for participants.
- Support participants in achieving their housing goals, ensuring they meet the objectives outlined in their plans.
- Collaborate with staff to enroll eligible participants in the Step Down Rental Assistance Program.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and related purchase orders for participants.
- Stay informed about federal, state, and agency policies and procedures to effectively implement program goals and objectives.
- Participate in relevant training and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
- Two years of professional or personal experience with homelessness or housing instability, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively and empathetically with diverse individuals and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in using technology and databases for data entry, recordkeeping, and reporting purposes.
- Compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental approach towards individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Familiarity with local community resources and service providers in the housing and homelessness sector.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in working with sensitive client information.
- Ability to work both in the office and in the field, requiring significant time on your feet.
- Strong knowledge of homelessness issues, housing resources, and the Coordinated Entry System.
Education:
- Associate's degree in human services. Education requirement may be substituted for related education and one additional year of required experience; to be determined by Director of Strategy & Planning.
- Education and/or training relating to human services such as counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, information and referral, or similar activities.
License/Certification:
- Successful completion of a criminal record check.
- Valid driver's license with access to reliable transportation for required travel.
Salary: $22.36 per hour.
