Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer III to join our growing Engineering team in Philadelphia, PA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for permitting, design, and construction of a wide range of technically challenging projects primarily for industrial, utility, and renewable energy clients.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with our design and engineering team to perform calculations and develop designs.
- Design stormwater management systems and erosion control facilities for civil engineering projects.
- Prepare applications for local land development approvals and state environmental permits.
- Perform engineering calculations to support designs including stormwater and general civil aspects.
- Develop designs and plan sheets in Civil 3D.
- Assist with the development of reports, plans, and specifications for client and governmental approvals and construction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or a related discipline.
- EIT certification and/or PE license.
- 3-6 years of experience in civil engineering, including stormwater management systems, site grading, road alignment, and similar tasks.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
- Experience with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling/hydrology software.
- Fluency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
- Valid driver's license without major violations.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Solid technical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with energy-related projects, specifically renewable energy (wind, solar, etc.).
- Experience independently analyzing and interpreting data regarding site uses and topography to develop stormwater management plans and best management practices.
- Experience with design and development of erosion and sediment control plans.
- Site grading/contouring design experience.
