About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Diesel Technician to join our team at Dickinson Fleet Services. As a Mobile Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections on vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair various types of truck equipment, including electrical, brake, and cooling systems
  • Inspect and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper functioning
  • Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they are working properly
  • Manage parts inventory and equipment provided on company-issued service trucks
  • Document work performed, parts used, and findings observed on Repair Orders using company-issued iOS devices and proprietary TRAIT application
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field
  • Valid driver's license and DOT Medical Card
  • Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
  • Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months
Preferred Certifications
  • ASE T3 (Drivetrain) certification
  • ASE T4 (Brakes) certification
  • ASE T5 (Suspension) certification
  • ASE T6 (Electrical and Electronic Systems) certification
  • ASE T7 (HVAC) certification
  • ASE 608/609 certification
