Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Certification Requirements: Must hold a valid BLS certification and an active Colorado Physical Therapy License or a compact license.
  • Clinical Duties: Administer comprehensive respiratory care as prescribed by physicians, focusing on specialty areas including Emergency, Neonatal, Pediatric, Geriatric, and Critical Care.
  • Patient Monitoring: Oversee mechanical ventilation, assess patient conditions, and interpret relevant diagnostic tests to ensure optimal respiratory function.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of all respiratory care procedures in accordance with departmental policies.
  • Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings, in-services, and patient care rounds to enhance team communication and patient outcomes.
  • Training and Orientation: Assist in the training of new staff and students, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver respiratory care.
Job Requirements
  • Proficient in performing all respiratory care procedures as outlined in the department's policy manual.
  • Ability to conduct arterial blood gas draws and manage ventilator patients effectively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of respiratory care equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Strong assessment skills to evaluate patient respiratory needs and recommend appropriate interventions.
Work Schedule

This position offers a structured schedule of three 12-hour shifts, ensuring a total of 36 hours per week.
