Position Summary

The QC Inspector conducts proficient evaluations of aircraft components, assemblies, and systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and specifications. This role involves performing both visual and dimensional assessments, as well as adhering to safety protocols for the effective and secure execution of assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

1.


Conducts both straightforward and intricate inspection processes on aircraft components, assemblies, and systems in alignment with applicable standards and specifications.

2.

Executes both primary inspections and buy-back evaluations as designated.

3.

Accurately performs visual and dimensional inspections.

4.

Documents inspection findings precisely, clearly indicating any discrepancies.

5.

Utilizes micrometers, gauges, calipers, indicators, and other measuring tools and testing equipment in the execution of skilled inspection tasks.

6.

Conducts NDT and/or borescope inspections when necessary.

7.

Maintains thorough, legible, and timely records such as inspection documentation and logs.

8.

Performs buy-back inspections to verify that previously identified and subsequently repaired items have been properly completed and documented.

9.

Interprets blueprints, schematics, and other technical documentation.

10.

Researches and retrieves necessary technical information.

11.

Stays updated on technical knowledge and inspection methodologies through ongoing research and reading.

12.


Handles measuring instruments, tools, and testing equipment; ascends and descends ladders and platforms; and frequently operates in various positions such as stooping, kneeling, or squatting.

13.

Adheres to safety protocols and utilizes appropriate safety gear for the tasks performed.

14.

Reads instructions and safety information as required for the proper and safe completion of assigned duties.

15.

Communicates effectively in English regarding work-related activities, in compliance with FAA requirements.

Previous Experience


A minimum of four (4) years of aircraft maintenance experience on aircraft types consistent with those serviced by Flightstar, providing knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques, related work techniques, terminology, parts, etc.

Technical Skills

Individual will perform daily transactions within Flightstar's ERP system (AMROS), vending (POU), as well as research customer's maintenance manuals.

Physical Requirements


Must be able to lift and carry hand tools, parts, and work materials; ascend and descend ladders and platforms; and frequently work in various positions such as stooping, kneeling, or squatting.
