Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hospital Cleaning and Sanitation Specialist to join our team at Employment Connection. As a key member of our environmental services team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Daily Cleaning Activities: Perform routine cleaning tasks in patient, public, and common areas, using established cleaning processes and procedures.
  • Discharge Cleaning: Clean and prepare inpatient rooms for new admissions, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Room Setup and Maintenance: Set up and maintain patient rooms, including changing linens, restocking supplies, and performing other tasks as needed.
  • Heavy Cleaning and Special Projects: Assist with heavy cleaning tasks and special projects, such as deep cleaning of high-traffic areas or handling hazardous materials.
  • Supply Management: Stock and maintain supply rooms, ensuring that all necessary cleaning supplies are available and easily accessible.
  • Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Notify supervisors or managers of any equipment, furniture, or building fixtures that require maintenance or repair.
Requirements:
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to climb, grasp, pinch, hold, lift, push, pull, reach overhead, sit, squat, bend, kneel, stand, and walk or move.
  • Experience: Proven working experience as a cleaner or in a related field.
  • Skills: Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery, knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets, and integrity.
Working Conditions:

This is a safety-sensitive position, requiring the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Reliable transportation is a plus.

Compensation:

$14.00 to $14.88 per hour (based on shift). Weekend Pay Differential: $15.00 to $15.88 per hour (based on shift).
