Job Summary:

This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely and precise closure of the monthly general ledger, aiding in the preparation of annual financial statements and regulatory submissions, collaborating with various departments on budget oversight and expense management, and adhering to established audit protocols and controls.

Additionally, you will be responsible for generating reports and delivering insights from financial analyses to facilitate informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute journal entries, perform reconciliations, and create and disseminate reports to support the monthly general ledger closure.
  • Compile financial data, oversee filing obligations, and draft documents for annual statements and regulatory submissions.
  • Conduct financial analyses using various analytical techniques, including variance and trend assessments.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders on budget and expense management, overseeing the annual budgeting process, regular reforecasting, ensuring accurate cost allocations, and performing expense evaluations.
  • Guarantee compliance with audit requirements and controls by working closely with auditors, adhering to control protocols, and updating documentation as necessary.
  • Engage in project teams and presentations within the Finance Department.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of accounting experience or 6 years of accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with GAAP or STAT accounting principles.
  • Strong financial analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and resolve problems effectively.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in mathematics.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Effective collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
