About the Role

This 13-week contract position requires an experienced professional with excellent technical skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) scanners to obtain high-quality images of patients' bodies, which are used by physicians to diagnose conditions such as injuries, infections, cancers, and other abnormalities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for CT scans by explaining the procedure, answering any questions, and ensuring they are comfortable.
  • Verify Patient Information: Verify patient information, including medical history, allergies, and prior imaging, to ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate imaging protocols.
  • Position Patients Properly: Position patients properly on the CT table to obtain the necessary images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Operate CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate the CT scanner, ensuring proper settings for each scan, including parameters such as radiation dose, slice thickness, and imaging protocols.
  • Administer Contrast Agents: Administer contrast agents or dye injections (under physician or radiologist guidance) to enhance image clarity during certain CT procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in diagnostic imaging and a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care. You must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm and composed demeanor when dealing with complex situations.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $$120,000 per year, based on 40 hours of work per week and 8 hours of shifts. Magnet Medical offers a competitive compensation package, including a tax-free stipend and comprehensive benefits.
