About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Youth Opportunity Investments, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing building services, including maintenance, upkeep of the building, grounds, and parking areas. This will involve coordinating renovation/remodeling projects and ensuring site safety and security activities meet required standards.

You will perform regular building inspections to identify potential issues and take proactive steps to ensure a safe, efficient, and presentable work environment. Additionally, you will oversee safety and security issues, including fire, burglary, or building closure, and be responsible for close-circuit monitoring and access cards.

You will assist program managers in identifying maintenance issues, tracking routine maintenance, and coordinating repairs. You will also be responsible for tracking and maintaining facility fire and health inspections, rectifying or coordinating the repair of any deficiencies noted on inspections.

Directly, you will direct contractor activities for operating and maintaining facilities, equipment, and grounds.

Other Key Duties

You will maintain a high standard of role model behavior for youth, participating in training and development activities as required. You will report any acts, incidents, or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate youth-to-youth or staff-to-youth relationships. You will also report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per guidelines.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years' experience directly related to the essential functions of this position is required, with prior project management experience highly desired.

You must possess good analytical skills, be able to communicate effectively, and foster and work within participatory management. Strong organizing and planning skills are essential, along with the ability to interface effectively at all levels in the organization. A commitment to professional standards and personal development is also required.

Physical Demands

The role requires frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and peripheral vision. The ability to drive for extended periods of time is also necessary.

Additional Requirements

You must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver's license. You must be able to meet requirements for Company's Auto Insurance. You must meet state criminal background check requirements and pre-employment screens.
