Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage engineering projects, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and execution to meet operational objectives.
  • Develop and document detailed procedures for various processes and equipment maintenance, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
  • Oversee laboratory operations within the designated region.
  • Conduct precise time studies to assess labor needs, establish work measurement initiatives, and analyze work samples to create labor utilization standards.
  • Propose strategies for enhancing worker productivity and minimizing material and utility waste through job restructuring, workflow optimization, and equipment procurement.
  • Supervise equipment installation and laboratory redesign, preparing layouts, coordinating installation schedules, and ensuring timely and successful execution.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally within the optical sector.
  • Experience or coursework in process control using statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Familiarity with PLCs, electronic controllers, or automated systems in a manufacturing context.
  • Proficiency in Arena Simulation software programming.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
