About the Job

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team at Express Employment Professionals. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for preparing weldments for assembly into structural fabricated products, achieving high-quality and maximum-strength welds, and reading blueprints and weld symbols.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare weldments for assembly into structural fabricated products.
  • Achieve high-quality and maximum-strength welds with a wide range of metal sizes, with minimal distortion.
  • Read blueprints and weld symbols, and pass a Weld Exam.
  • Run 0.45, 0.52, 1/16 wire.
  • Use rudimentary math skills.
  • Operate jib and overhead cranes.
  • Fabricate products from blueprints with or without fixtures.
  • Plan all welding jobs from start to finish, using a wide range of metal sizes.
  • Work with limited supervision.
  • Work across multiple product lines (six different product lines).
  • Wear steel-toed boots and metatarsal guards.
  • Pass pre-employment physical, background check, drug screen, and respirator exam.
  • Fabricate products from blueprints with or without prints.
Work Environment

This is a swing shift position, working Monday-Friday 6 am-2:30 pm.
