Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, drainage design, and prepare detailed drainage plans for various clients, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
  • Approach engineering challenges with creativity, offering innovative solutions to complex design issues.
  • Draft comprehensive engineering reports and prepare contract documentation for evaluation.
  • Oversee and review the work of technicians or designers, applying technical judgment to initial revisions of their outputs.
  • Possibility to act as the Engineer-of-Record for designated engineering assignments.
  • Manage the timely execution of multiple engineering tasks.
  • Facilitate effective communication with team members, internal design departments, and external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Present design proposals during internal project discussions and contribute to external presentations.
  • Support company marketing initiatives by maintaining updated personal resumes and engaging in promotional activities.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth and encouraging positive workplace behaviors.
  • Evaluate the implementation of Post Construction Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs).

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with GDOT drainage standards and protocols.
