As a Cardiac Stepdown Nurse at Common Spirit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients who require a high level of monitoring and intervention. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
  • Implementation and Evaluation: Implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, communicate with patients and families, and provide education on health and wellness.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests, and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document patient information, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, and provide timely reports to healthcare teams.
Requirements
  • Education: Current RN licensure in the State of Arkansas or compact state license required.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in CVSD or CVICU required for PRN positions.
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required.
