Position Overview:

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver comprehensive mechanical services to our clientele. The Automotive Technician is expected to provide efficient and thorough service that adheres to our quality and safety standards while collaborating with the team to ensure a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Articulate mechanical diagnostics and repairs to clients who may not have a technical background.
2. Offer repair recommendations, including necessary parts and estimated labor hours based on industry-standard guidelines.
3. Identify and document all items requiring attention, including maintenance and safety concerns.
4. Conduct road tests and perform both vehicle and digital inspections, providing written reports to the sales team.
5. Execute repairs according to specifications, including wheel alignments, steering and suspension systems, brake systems, light engine work, battery replacements, alternator services, belt replacements, tune-ups, scanning codes, sensor diagnostics, and fluid flushes.
6. Uphold cleanliness and organization standards within the service area and maintain equipment such as alignment machines and lifts.
7. Achieve ASE certification in a specialized area of automotive system diagnosis and repair within two years of employment.
8. Engage in continuous learning to stay updated on new technical information and techniques through formal training sessions.
9. Keep management informed of any mechanical repair issues that arise in the service area.
10. Adhere to company safety policies and federal/state OSHA regulations, including the use of approved personal protective equipment and proper lifting techniques.
11. Attend required meetings and comply with all established rules and procedures.
