Radiation Oncology Coordinator Job Summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Radiation Oncology Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing assistance and technical support to Medical Physicists in radiation safety and protection.

About the Role:

  • Assist Medical Physicists in radiation safety and protection, including qualitative machine calibrations and quality assurance of treatment plans and radiation oncology equipment.
  • Utilize radiation monitoring devices to measure radioactivity and perform assays.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach applied aspects of medical dosimetry to students, radiation therapists, and residents.
  • Participate in clinical research and continuing education.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited medical dosimetry program with board certification required within the first three years of hire.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year. This salary range is based on national averages and may vary depending on location and other factors.
