Position Overview

The Corporate Accounting division at Dycom is in search of a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Lease Accountant. This pivotal role is essential for managing the corporate lease and fixed assets functions, ensuring accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of lease agreements, entering and approving leases in the designated accounting system.
  • Identify, record, and validate new, modified, and terminated leases to facilitate timely lease journal entries.
  • Support the month-end closing process, including subledger tasks and internal/external financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of balance sheet and profit & loss lease accounts to the accounting system on a monthly basis.
  • Participate in the month-end close activities related to fixed assets, including the generation and reconciliation of monthly reports.
  • Identify potential risks and contribute to process enhancements, as well as the design and implementation of internal controls in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analytical support.
  • Engage in various projects aimed at process improvements and system implementations, along with handling ad hoc requests as needed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate accounting, with a focus on lease and fixed assets accounting.
  • Strong understanding of ASC842 Lease Accounting principles.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A knack for creative problem-solving.
  • The capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
  • Proficiency in various software applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
