Job Summary

Ascension Seton is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Endoscopy department. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Prepare the surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and solutions, as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
Hand required/requested instruments and supplies to the surgeon during surgery.
Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor/track instrument counts throughout procedures.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
One or more of the following required: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
