Our client, a premier metal stamping company with over 70 years of experience, is seeking a skilled Toolroom Supervisor to join their team in Toledo, OH.

The successful candidate will oversee the activities of the Tool & Die Department, planning and assigning work, implementing policies and procedures, and recommending improvements in Die Repair methods, equipment, and operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement measures to motivate employees and improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.
• Manage Departmental performance measures, including visual controls, and provide regular progress reports to leadership.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the repair and maintenance of metal forming dies, including Tool & Die Makers, Tool & Die Apprentices, and Machinists.
• Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
• Analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates and outputs.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical school graduation preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of extensive tool & die repair experience, including a certified Apprenticeship program or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Tool & Die Department.
