Patient Care Assistant

Position: Patient Care Assistant (PCA)
Location: Monroe Township, NJ
Contract Duration: 8 - 9 weeks
Work Schedule: 7am - 3pm | 3pm - 11pm | 11pm - 7am (Five Days a Week Including Every Other Weekend)
Compensation: $24 - $25 per hour on W2
Travel Compensation: $1160 per week gross based on up to 40 hours/week
Payment Frequency: Weekly
Immediate Start Required
Qualifications:
- Certification as a nursing assistant is mandatory
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) is preferred
- Availability to work every other weekend is essential
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor vital signs and conduct neurological checks for residents at risk of falls.
- Deliver palliative care as needed.
- Perform respiratory assessments and blood pressure checks as ordered, demonstrating competency in skills.
- Ensure proper care and monitoring of patients' skin to prevent tissue breakdown over bony areas.
- Maintain respect for the patient and family environment, addressing personal needs with sensitivity.
- Safeguard the organization’s integrity by maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including meal service and feeding patients when necessary.
- Support patient mobility by assisting with ambulation, turning, and positioning, while providing fresh water and snacks between meals.
