Senior Systems Integration Lead

Job Summary
The Digital Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a Senior Systems Integration Lead supporting the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at DISA. This contract includes the Operations, Sustainment, Maintenance, Repair, and Defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN) in support of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). It also includes support to other key tasks for DISA, including the transformation of DISA's operational mission through innovation, and support to DISA's mission partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Work within a fast-paced, Agile team to verify and validate changes made to the system as well as develop more efficient and modern test techniques and processes.
- Perform validations of configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation.
- Work with external and internal stakeholders to understand and confirm the delivery of the digital transformation solutions with emphasis on request fulfillment, automated workflows through ServiceNow Service Catalogs and key ITIL processes like Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and other modules.
Requirements
- Understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements analysis and design.
- Work with the team to ensure delivery of quality software using Agile Scrum development and test practices.
- Analyze capability requirements and collaborate with the technical lead and test manager to ensure verifiable implementations.
- Must be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking for a local and geographically diverse team using effective time management skills to meet deliverable timelines.
- Support identifying the acceptance criteria in user stories with the Product Owners.
- Assist in validating ServiceNow capabilities developed as part of user stories defined in the sprint plan.
- Support the team to assist with the review of historical data to determine what will be utilized within the new ServiceNow system.
- Participate in sprint reviews to address testing results.
- Participate in sprint planning sessions.
- Assisting with translating and interpreting functional requirements into test cases.
- Perform an analysis of the ServiceNow system with the data loaded to ensure proper coverage of both discoverable and non-discoverable configuration items and attributes.
- Identify areas for improvement with existing toolsets to include integration opportunities for improved capabilities and effectiveness.
- Assist in preparing a validation report summarizing test results including anomalies, systems errors, and configuration changes.
- Support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements.
- Develop detailed test plans, test data, and define test acceptance criteria.
- Support customer demonstration, data prep and UAT activities.
- Use the Atlassian Jira tool to document and maintain all design stories, user stories, defects, and any other project pertinent information.
- Assist in maintaining the validation portion of the requirements traceability for software systems (RVTM).
- Works with and mentors' junior developers to guide and coach them throughout each project.
Qualifications
- Requires a US Citizenship.
- Hold and active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher (i.e., Security+).
- Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Must be able to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT for full time on-site support.
- Bachelor's Degree with 8 – 12 years of relevant experience or master's with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
- Worked in an environment to perform data conversion from a legacy system.
- Experience with DevOps, continuous integration tools and source control tools.
- Experience with agile development and testing methodologies.
- The ability to work on a multidisciplinary team.
- Willing to assist and train junior testers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possesses 3-5 years' experience with ServiceNow administration, configuration management and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform.
- Prior knowledge and experience with executing and designing workflows in ServiceNow's ServiceNow Platforms modules: Discovery, Event Management, Scripting, Service Mapping, Business Rules, Script Includes, Custom applications, Orchestration, Workflows, Service Catalog.
- Demonstrated ability to perform code analysis and troubleshoot difficult technical issues, ability to identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions.
- Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified.
- AWS cloud certifications.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
