Responsibilities and Requirements
The Visiting Instructor of Biology will be responsible for teaching multiple biology courses per semester, including classes for majors and non-majors, and contributing to student-centered classroom and laboratory instruction. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively with diverse populations, and demonstrate a commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy. Required qualifications include an earned M.S. in Biology or a closely related field by December 31, 2025, evidence of ability to teach undergraduate biology courses and laboratories, and ability to work with diverse populations and effective written and spoken communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a minimum of 1 year of college/university teaching experience.
Salary and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Additionally, benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. We also offer opportunities for professional growth and development, including training and mentorship programs. As an exempt position, this role pays on a monthly basis. Estimated annual salary: $55,000-$65,000.
