The Surgical Anesthesia Support Technician plays a crucial role in the Anesthesia Department by overseeing the supply and equipment requirements for surgical interventions. This position necessitates collaboration with various hospital divisions to guarantee that the Operating Rooms are adequately equipped, thereby ensuring a secure environment for surgical patients. The technician also aids in the upkeep and sanitation of anesthesia apparatus and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procure supplies for the Anesthesia Department
  • Restock Operating Rooms with essential equipment
  • Sanitize anesthesia machines and carts
  • Manage inventory of medications and replace expired items
  • Organize and maintain the anesthesia supply area
  • Assist with scheduled maintenance and repairs of equipment
  • Transport necessary items throughout the facility
  • Ensure adherence to infection control protocols
  • Respond effectively in emergency situations

Requirements:

A High School diploma is required

Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred

Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure

Strong collaborative skills

Physical/Mental Demands:
  • Potential exposure to chemicals
  • Capability to lift patients and heavy objects
  • Perform various manual and coordination tasks

The responsibilities of this position may evolve based on the operational needs of White Plains Hospital. Salary Range: $52,472.36-$78, Based on FT employment.
