Overview

The University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team. As an integral part of our rehabilitation services, you will work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to provide expert care and support.


Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality physical therapy services to patients with various orthopedic conditions, including injuries, degenerative diseases, and post-operative rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices and advanced techniques to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring to inform treatment decisions and adjust plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to educate them on treatment goals, progress, and recommendations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices, research, and technological advancements in the field.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a physical therapist from the Maryland State Board of PT Examiners.
  • Current certification in CPR for healthcare providers.
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in physical therapy.
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic principles, anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and age groups.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a $85,000 - $110,000 per year salary range, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
