About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team at GILLIG. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, performing day-to-day preventive maintenance tasks, and repairing equipment to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using mechanical and electrical diagrams and technical repair manuals
  • Perform day-to-day preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is running efficiently and effectively
  • Repair and maintain processing and manufacturing equipment, including air compressors, conveyors, industrial fans, electric motors, and pneumatic tools
  • Install, maintain, and repair automated machinery, including proximity switches, transformers, relays, limit switches, HMIs, and PLCs
  • Operate personal lifts and material handling tools and equipment, including overhead cranes, rigging, forklifts, boom lifts, and other equipment
  • Perform fabrication and machine work, including oxy-acetylene torch welding, welding, drill press, band saws, plate shear, and other equipment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3-5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong ability in all areas of electrical maintenance, including 3-phase motors, variable frequency drives, controls, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to problem solve and demonstrate competency by passing skill tests
  • Proficient with power tools and ability to work at heights
