About the Opportunity

Glenwood Regional Medical Center seeks an experienced Education Manager to join its team. In this role, you will develop and implement comprehensive educational plans for the hospital's nursing staff.

You will participate in the development of facility-wide nursing education and programs, working closely with other educators to achieve our goals.

As an Education Manager, you will be responsible for managing personnel and analyzing workload and skill requirements to meet departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive educational plans for the hospital's nursing staff.
  • Participate in the development of facility-wide nursing education and programs.
  • Manage personnel and analyze workload and skill requirements to meet departmental needs.
  • Serve as an educational resource at the hospital level.
  • Provide staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent, leader, and researcher.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BSN degree.
  • Masters preferred.
  • Ability to present verbal presentations.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Louisiana.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and the community.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated.
  • Ability to operate equipment, such as A/V equipment, patient care equipment used in training, etc.
  • CPR instructor status within 18 months of hire date.
  • Certification in ACLS, PALS, NRPS preferred.
  • ACLS instructor status required within 18 months of hire date.
  • PALS and/or NRP provider status within 2 years; instructor of PALS and/or NRP within 3 years of employment as directed by Chief Nursing Officer.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
