We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prepared Foods Lead to join our team at New Seasons Market. Key Responsibilities:- Assist with the coordination and execution of Prepared Foods department operations and work.
- Prepare, stock, cut, weigh, and wrap department products to meet customer demands.
- Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with customers to share product information and assist with product location.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, working cooperatively with fellow team members, customers, and vendors.
- Manage own time effectively, prioritizing tasks and adapting to changing circumstances.
- Maintain accurate pricing and signage, adhering to merchandising standards.
- Process customer special orders accurately and expeditiously.
- Ensure customer special orders are accurately placed and delivered.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and rotation of all areas, products, and supplies.
- Participate in other activities, such as inventories, scheduling, and performance reviews.
- Previous customer service, food service, retail, or grocery experience required.
- Knowledge of retail grocery Prepared Foods, Deli, or food production department and/or similar restaurant, café, or food industry experience required.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Entry-level proficiency with MS Office. Working knowledge with POS, inventory, or other retail-specific software preferred.
Work occurs in a grocery store environment, which includes surfaces that can be wet and slippery, moderate noise levels, and temperature extremes in controlled environments in the cooler and freezer. There may be exposure to certain allergens and/or chemicals.
