We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Activities Coordinator to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. As an Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, organizing, and coordinating available facility and community resources to provide the highest quality activity and recreational programs to meet the needs and interests of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including physical activities, social events, and educational programs.
- Coordinate and participate in activities to maximize the residents' physical and emotional outcomes, ensuring that all residents are involved and engaged.
- Assist with the development of the activity calendar, ensuring that activities are carried out as planned and that residents' preferences are reflected.
- Provide a clean, safe, and organized working environment, including maintaining adequate supplies and resources.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support the care plan for each resident, including providing activities based on their past life experiences and communicating with the Activity Director on resident progress and changes in condition.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and community partners.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, frequently, and to stand, walk, and push/pull objects as needed.
