Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced hospitalist to join our Liver Transplant Service at UCSF Medical Center. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic liver disease, both in and out of the Intensive Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to liver transplant candidates and recipients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners, medicine and surgery interns, fellows, and attendings
  • Admit patients to the Liver Transplant Service and manage their care in the hospital
  • Work closely with transplant hepatology and transplant surgery teams to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • MD degree and board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine or Surgery
  • Eligibility for licensure in the State of California
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in caring for complex patients
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
