Attendance Secretary and Bookkeeper

Job Summary: Seaman Unified School District 345 is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Attendance Secretary and Bookkeeper to support the administrative functions of Seaman High School and Seaman Middle School.

Responsibilities: As an Attendance Secretary and Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records, processing requisitions for building budgets, districts accounts, and student activity accounts. You will also initiate approval processes for purchase orders, place orders for supplies, equipment, and travel, coordinate with the Seaman Education Center Business Office to complete orders, work with teachers and administrators to complete orders, verify gate receipts as applicable, file supporting information for financial transactions, check weekly time in timekeeping systems for SMS classified employees, review received orders to approve payment, coordinate extra-duty assignments for athletics and activities, reconcile statements for district accounts, submit classified payroll for SMS, complete and submit sales tax statements, track extra-duty pay, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you must have prior bookkeeping or accounting experience, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. You must also be proficient in using various software applications and have knowledge of financial procedures and regulations.

Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plan.

Salary Range: The estimated annual salary for this position is $52,500, based on industry standards and market conditions.
