Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health UC by Wellstreet, LLC. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and service in our Urgent Care centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for X-Ray exams and perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic quality imaging procedures.
  • Operate modality-specific equipment and technical equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving, and computerized electronic medical records.
  • Review patient history and share observations with Providers.
  • Use critical thinking principles to make decisions while following company policies.
  • Manage inventory and maintain supplies, including stocking rooms.
  • Ensure proper operation of radiology equipment and minimize patient exposure to radiation.
  • Respond to patient and pharmacy phone consultations, documenting appropriately in EMR.
  • Manage patient appointments and offer and fill medications accurately in house as prescribed by physician.
  • Collaborate with team on data and achieving length of stay goals for patient satisfaction and departmental goals.
  • Assist with administrative and registration functions, when not performing radiological examinations.
  • Audit records for appropriate billing and identify correct procedure codes supported by diagnosis codes.
  • Edit claims for modifiers in compliance with CMS, AMA, and CPT coding guidelines.
  • Coordinate coding audits and addendums with registration staff for accurate and complete billing.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved educational program.
  • Must have American Registry of Radiologic Technologists credentials in Radiography (R).
  • Must have South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCQRSA) credentials.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Good communication skills and excellent interpersonal and patient management skills.
  • Ability to use EMR, PACS, and basic knowledge of computer programs.
