The Nurse Intern provides administrative and clinical support to the Physician and Clinical Support Staff in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist patients in the waiting room and escort them to the exam room.
- Maintain order, cleanliness, and inventory in the exam room.
- Clean and autoclave instruments.
- Prepare and scan paperwork for Physician review.
- Collect health history intake and record vitals as requested.
- Prepare injections for the Physician.
- Pull up patient studies and reports.
- Assist with patient clothing and disposal of biohazardous waste.
- Answer telephones and request reports for Physicians.
- Empties and restocks laundry.
- Scans appointment tracking and directs Physician in patient appointment order.
- Reviews Physician schedules for chart preparation.
- Completes pre-certifications and scans information into patient records.
- Enrolled in an accredited nursing program with a GPA > 3.
- Medical office procedures and medical terminology knowledge.
- Computer skills, including MS Office.
