Senior Cost Estimator

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to contribute to our Los Angeles team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present cost plans, including estimating and cost management across all construction stages.
  • Provide feasibility studies and apply parametric benchmark cost data.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies, analyze cost data, and present findings in reports.
  • Undertake cost assurance of third-party estimates, report writing, and presentation.
  • Manage procurement, including pre-qualification, bid analysis, and contractual document compilation.
  • Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • Lead cost checks, valuations, and ensure timely and accurate cost checking and valuation processes.
  • Produce monthly cost reports and present to clients.
  • Contribute to value engineering and options analysis.
  • Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants throughout project stages.
  • Provide leadership to cost management commissions and ensure delivery of accountabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for new business with existing clients and report to the line manager.
  • Develop and improve cost estimating and cost management procedures, templates, and products.
  • Provide leadership and training to estimating teams as necessary.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in estimating formats, including Uniformat and CSI Masterformat.

Requirements:

  • Experience with cost management and estimating across all construction stages.
  • Consulting experience, great communication skills, and comfort in a client-facing role.
