Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Store Operations Manager to join our team at RaceTrac. As a Store Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitability and leading a team of up to 45 employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Establish an environment of prompt, efficient, and courteous service, effectively engaging in conflict management, and leading positive and professional relationships with co-workers, direct reports, guests, and vendors.
  • Food Service: Drive excellence in food service by executing designed processes, implementing goals to increase sales and margin, ensuring product quality, and using training resources.
  • Cleanliness: Encourage and manage a high standard of store cleanliness, directing, monitoring, and adhering to all RaceTrac, federal, state, and local safety-related regulations, including food safety regulations.
  • Talent Development: Demonstrate RaceTrac's Core Values of Honesty, Efficiency, Positive Attitude, Respect, and Teamwork, and display RaceTracs Leadership Qualities through acting with a servant-leader mentality, prioritizing tasks appropriately, going the extra mile for guests and your team, listening, and communicating respectfully, and solving problems with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Financial Management: Strategically direct control of inventory and the distribution of materials, merchandise, and supplies, reviewing financial statements, sales, analysis reports, and other performance data to measure productivity, and actively identifying areas of operational improvements based on market trends.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED in progress or completed.
  • 5+ years of prior food service, retail, or restaurant supervisory experience; retail management experience preferred.
  • Previous experience working in high-volume, guest-focused, transactional environment preferred.
  • Knowledge and skills in analyzing overall financial performance of the store including profit and loss statements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven knowledge of Labor Laws and staffing best practices.
  • Can lift up to 50 pounds and repeatedly bend, stand, and reach while on the job.
  • Must obtain and maintain Manager Food Handler certification.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain alcohol server permit, based on local or state requirements.
