Position Overview:

The Conservation Law Foundation (CLF), a prominent organization dedicated to environmental advocacy, is offering internship and externship opportunities for individuals interested in the field of environmental law and policy. Interns are required to secure external financial support, which may be obtained through various means such as work-study programs or educational institutions. CLF is committed to assisting applicants in understanding these requirements. Flexible and remote work arrangements are available.

Responsibilities:

Interns and externs will collaborate closely with CLF attorneys based in the New Haven office, engaging in various tasks related to environmental law and policy. Responsibilities may include:
  • Conducting legal research and drafting documents
  • Preparing comment letters, testimonies, and other legal filings
  • Collaborating with partner organizations
  • Participating in advocacy communications
  • Attending regulatory, adjudicatory, and legislative proceedings alongside attorneys

Qualifications:

We welcome applications from any law or graduate student. Preference will be given to second- and third-year JD students or LLM candidates. Ideal applicants will possess:
  • Strong academic performance
  • Exceptional writing capabilities
  • A genuine interest in advocacy and environmental issues
