Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Diet Clerk to join our team. As a Diet Clerk, you will be responsible for patient menu management, data collection, and diet office functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribute and collect menus to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Assist patients in completing menu selections in compliance with prescribed diets.
- Offer alternatives to menu items as allowed on prescribed diets, taking into account food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
- Plan and prepare regular and modified menus based on current diet manuals.
- Prepare and distribute supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in an accurate and timely manner.
- Manage human/donor milk and/or infant formula inventory and distribution.
- Adhere to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient's rights policies.
- Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and TJC.
- Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs.
- Participate in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Program to improve processes and patient care.
