Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Administration: Direct, plan, and coordinate the activities of professional nursing and auxiliary nursing personnel to provide exceptional patient care.
- Budget Management: Collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator to develop, allocate, and control the budget for the Department of Nursing Services.
- Quality Improvement: Complete daily rounds on the units to observe patients and ensure that nursing needs are being met. Review nursing progress notes to ensure they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care provided.
- Policy and Compliance: Interpret nursing center policies and regulations to all nursing personnel and ensure compliance. Analyze and evaluate nursing and related services rendered to improve quality of customer care.
- Staff Development: Ensure the provision of in-service training programs for nursing personnel.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college or university with a current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing.
- Experience: A minimum of five years full-time or equivalent clinical experience with at least two years' experience in nursing supervision in the long-term care setting.
