Serves as the main liaison between the parts department and retail customers for the procurement of automotive components and accessories.
The key objective is to ensure customer satisfaction while enhancing dealership sales of parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prompt and courteous service to retail clientele.
- Promote additional parts sales through effective related item selling techniques.
- Answer incoming calls in accordance with dealership protocols. Process orders or respond to inquiries as necessary.
- Accurately record lost sales in the inventory management system.
- Detail and price parts on customer invoices.
- Provide essential information for special orders to the inventory control personnel if a part is unavailable.
- Keep the special order parts inventory organized and tidy.
- Maintain records of all special order parts and inform customers regarding their orders.
- Manage a customer backorder file efficiently.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory checks.
- Support the upkeep of parts catalogs, pricing schedules, and other technical documents and bulletins.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment, free from clutter and hazards.
- Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
To excel in this role, candidates must be able to fulfill each job responsibility effectively, possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, complete a drug screening, undergo a background check, and meet all government I-9 requirements. A combination of education, experience, and training will be taken into account.
