Job Summary

As an Environmental Services Technician with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for patients, residents, and staff. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities
  • Emptying waste baskets and recycling bins
  • Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors using brooms, mops, or powered equipment
  • Using knowledge of housekeeping processes, tools, and techniques to provide a clean and sterile environment
  • Wearing proper protective equipment and following guidelines
  • Keeping storage, equipment, and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
  • Assisting in laundry areas as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience
  • Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful
  • Knowledge of materials, equipment, cleaning methods, and cleaning chemicals is helpful
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
